Council on Social Work Education Has Accredited the Tulane MSW Online Program Option

August 14, 2018

The Tulane University Social of Social Work recently received great news! Our accrediting body for the MSW program, Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), has accepted and approved our online program option. The accreditation of Tulane’s MSW Online program is the result of hard work and dedication, and is a huge milestone worthy of celebration.

CSWE was founded in 1952 and accredits over 750 baccalaureate and master’s degree social work programs in the U.S. An accredited MSW program follows the standards and requirements of the social work profession, reinforcing the values of the field and preparing students to meet the practical demands of the work environment.

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognizes CSWE’s Commission on Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the U.S. And with state licensing boards requiring social workers to earn their degrees through CSWE-accredited schools, graduates can be confident that their education will prepare them for the next step in pursuing their careers.

For those who were waiting until accreditation was received to submit the application, please reach out to your enrollment advisor to discuss next steps. We look forward to receiving and reviewing your application.
